Over the last week we have had some milder temperatures which has been welcomed, however the easterlies have still been quite prevalent. The weeks are flying by this term, especially when there is a four day and shorter week.

The term will continue to slip by quickly with students involved with the following events coming up:

  • Wagin Woolorama.
  • WACOA Carnival.
  • Student Dinner.

It is great to see students taking advantage of these events. Thank you to the staff who are coordinating and organising these events and those staff that are giving of their time to attend and be involved to make these opportunities possible for the students.

College Board

Nominations for the Year 10 and 12 parent representatives have closed and information in regard to voting has been provided to the parents/carers of the respective year groups. Voting closes today, th March 2024 at 4.00pm. Next week we will be able to announce the two new parent representatives of the College Board. They will join Nichole Smith (Year 11 parent) and Natalie MacDonald (immediate past parent).

The process for the staff representative has been undertaken and completed and I welcome Patrick Swallow onto the College Board. Patrick joins Steve Cruickshank as the two staff representatives.

New Parent Survey

The ‘New Parent Survey’ is now available to the parents/carers of all Year 10 and new Year 11 students to complete. The link has been provided to this group of parents via email and Compass notification. This survey closes Friday 15th March 2024 at 4.00pm

The purpose of this survey is to gain feedback in relation to the selection, enrolment, transition and induction processes for the WA College of Agriculture Harvey. Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey and providing us with valuable feedback about what worked well and potential areas that could be improved.

Student Behaviour

Unfortunately, this week there has been some negative and highly inappropriate behaviour by a few students that reside at the College that is not in keeping with the College’s expectations and standards of behaviour. As a result, these three students have had their ability to reside at the College removed for a period of four days each.

This is a timely reminder and I ask parents to reinforce the values of the College – Respect, Aspiration and Safety with their child. This week please focus on Respect and remind your child that their actions should not negatively impact on another student’s right to live and learn at the College.

Have a great weekend!
