House Sport Carnival

The  Athletics Carnival is on Friday 15 March at Doncaster Athletics Track. Put these dates in your diaries!

This day is considered a regular school day and as such it is expected that all students attend. There is a strong history at Eltham High of students dressing up in House Colours and a Best Dressed Competition is held. Participation in the day’s events are not compulsory, and students can enter as many or as few events as they wish.

The results are used to select the students who advance to the District Sports. We also run a house Cross Country in Term 2 which all Year 7 and 8 students must participate in, however this event is not compulsory for students in Year 9 - 12. Year 9 - 12 students will have the opportunity to register their interest in competing in the Cross Country via a Microsoft Form prior to the day.

Interschool Sport

Eltham High participates in the School Sport Victoria sporting program. We enter teams into a Round Robin competition with local schools in the Nillumbik District. Each year level of the school can participate in one Round Robin each term. Different sports are offered in each term and successful teams advance to Region Finals.

Interschool sport is optional and students who wish to represent the school will have the opportunity to register their interest each term via a Microsoft Form. The links to these forms will be emailed to the students and will also be made available during Morning Involve / Tutorial sessions.

Timetabled Sport – Year 7 and 8

Students in Year 7 and 8 participate in a Sport session once per week. Students participate in a range of sports throughout the term. We aim to provide students with a small taste of a variety of sports, many of which are offered in the Inter-School Sports Program. Participation is the main goal of these sessions and students are encouraged to experience a range of games.

There is an expectation the students change into their PE uniforms for this session – we would greatly appreciate your assistance in ensuring PE uniforms are brought to school for both PE and Sport sessions.
