Principal's Report 

 We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people. May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.

Year Book Permission

We are excited to be planning and preparing our 2025 Year Book that promises to capture all of the wonderful learning and wellbeing opportunities, the achievements and celebrations, events and highlights that we have enjoyed across the year.

Parents will be provided with a permission form at Student Led Conferences, September 17, to endorse your child's name and photo being published in our much-anticipated Year Book.

Parent and Guardian Opinion Survey

The 2025 Parent & Guardian Survey will be provided to our families for input next week. We sincerely appreciate our families taking the time and effort to participate in this survey. The information collected provides valuable feedback on what the school is doing well, as well as driving next steps in improvement. Families will receive further information next week. Thank you, in advance, for your support in this important process.

Open Morning

After our Book Week Parade, August 25, the school will be hosting a schoolwide Open Morning. Families are encouraged to take the time to stay for assembly, then return to classrooms to engage in some special learning celebrations.

Student-Led Conferences

A reminder to all of our families that Student Led Conferences will take place on September 17. Students only come to school on this day to attend their conference with their family. Student Led Conferences will commence at 12:00pm and conclude at 7:00 pm. Bookings will open in the coming weeks - families will be notified when bookings are open.
