School Council August Update

Governance Training

Our August Meeting was held on Monday night, as a group we took part in Governance Training. It was a lovely chance to have a training session in person again, and even better to have it in our spacious staff room! We are very lucky to have great facilities available to us!

Soccer Pitch

We would like to acknowledge the fundraising that has been conducted by our school community to raise funds to contribute towards our Soccer Pitch proposal, and would like to re-assure you that the fundraised dollars are sitting waiting to be spent on the soccer pitch. Unfortunately, at this stage, the quotes we have received are a considerable amount more expensive than anticipated. We continue to seek additional grants and fundraising opportunities to bring this project to life!

Open School Council Meeting – Monday 8th September 7pm

Our next meeting will be held on Monday 8th September – please if you are interested, would like to know more about what our roles are as school council members, or are generally interested in improving our school for the future please make yourself available. We, the Miners Rest School Council are a vibrant and active group of volunteers that play a vital role in establishing the broad direction and vision of our school within the school's community.
