Time for Maths

Year 1 and 2 students have been diving into the world of telling time! We began by exploring the features of an analog clock, learning about the minute hand and hour hand, and understanding how they work together to display the time. 

Our classrooms have been full of clocks as we practise reading o'clock and half past times. To make learning even more exciting, we've been using hands-on activities and games. These activities have helped make learning meaningful and fun!

It's been wonderful to see our young learners becoming more confident in reading the time and recognising how it helps us in our daily routines, from knowing when it's snack time to when it's home time!

Ask your child to show you an o'clock or half past time on a clock at home. They’ll be proud to show off their new skills!
