DONALD SCHOOL’S MUSIC FESTIVAL
On Monday August 4, several of our music students performed at the Donald School’s Music Festival, along with the St Arnaud Band, and choirs from Donald Primary and St. Mary’s.
Our choir was made up of seventeen vocalists and ten instrumentalists. The choir performed three songs - “Rest,” “7 Minutes” and “That’s So True." which were all catchy songs, and the choir did a great job. All songs were sung with a lot of enthusiasm and feeling and was enhanced by the backing instruments. The students are all to be congratulated on their excellent performance.
The next performance was by the Donald High School Music Groups. The audience was treated to Sophie Burke singing “Looks Like Me”, Evie Donnellon singing “I Miss You I’m Sorry” and Year 7 singers- Isabelle, Marnie, Ellie, Erin, and River performing 2002. Mr Potter led the audience singing “Living on a Prayer”, backed up by Victor Sak on drums and Elijah Mansibang on guitar. All songs were performed to a very high standard. Musicians who played instruments in the groups were Milla Adams, Chelsea Hart, Alyssa Hepworth, Halle Rice, Evie Donnellon, Eliza Rotherham, Shaine Mansibang, Kaillie Krause, Layla Hepworth, Matai Podasca, Samuel Mortlock, Lithil Hitihamillage, Sophie Burke and Geoff Rigby.
Thank you to all our talented music students who volunteered to represent the school. I was very proud of all of you.
