A Big Thank You! Every Day Counts!

We want to take a moment to celebrate the wonderful teamwork we've seen this term. Our school attendance data has shown a positive improvement, and that is a direct result of your support and commitment. Thank you for making sure our kids are in school regularly, ready to learn and grow.

School is better when your child is here

As you know, every single day at school is an opportunity for your child to learn and thrive. Consistent attendance is the best way to help them:

  • Build a Strong Foundation: Each lesson builds on the one before, helping your child master new skills and knowledge.

  • Connect and Belong: School is where children build lasting friendships and develop the social skills, like resilience and communication, that they'll use for life.

It's amazing how quickly absences can add up! Just one day away from school every fortnight means a child misses a significant four whole weeks of learning in a single school year.

Let's continue this positive trend. We kindly ask that you help us by scheduling appointments outside of school hours and planning family holidays during term breaks whenever possible. This simple step makes a world of difference for your child's continuous learning and success.

Thank you again for your partnership.

Respectful Relationship News

During Respectful Relationships the students have been working through the topic of Problem Solving. The Respectful Relationships curriculum uses a research informed approach to provide age-appropriate learning activities. Activities within the topic of problem solving aim to assist students to devise strategies and plan to assist in completing challenging tasks, making decisions and resolving problems.

Students have also participated in activities that help them identify causes and effects of conflicts and practise different strategies to resolve problems. Problem solving is identified by the World Health Organization as a key skill for health. To be able to solve problems students need to be able to think critically and evaluate the consequences of various actions.

The Grade 3 and 4 students have been investigating ways to respond to problems and using examples from the chart "Ways we could respond to a problem”. They have also used the Road and Roundabout model to think about different options they can take to solve a problem and what the outcome of each of those choices may be.
