This week Carter and Katavu will represent our school at the Premier’s Spelling Bee Regional Finals. Their dedication and hard work have made us proud, and we wish them the best of luck as they showcase their spelling skills at this important event.
Congratulations to our outstanding students who represented Meadowbank Public School at the Ryde Zone Athletics Carnival yesterday. Competing at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Main Arena, our students demonstrated great sportsmanship and determination. We are awaiting the final results to see who has qualified for the Regional Carnival. We extend our sincere thanks to the organising teachers and our wonderful parent volunteers for their invaluable support.
Due to the weather, tonight's P&C meeting will be online only.
Tuesday 20 August at 7:30 pm

We invite all parents to attend the meeting. This is a great opportunity to get involved, learn more about the school, and have your voice heard.
This week’s agenda includes updates on the major works about to commence on the school oval and playground, as well as discussions around expanding extra-curricular activities for 2026.
The P&C plays a vital role in supporting our school’s initiatives and enhancing our students’ educational experience. Your participation helps strengthen our community and ensures that we can continue to provide the best for our children.
Mark your calendars for our exciting K-6 Book Parade on Monday 1 September! This popular event invites students to dress as their favourite book characters and celebrate the joy of reading. Students will have the chance to showcase their costumes, share stories, and engage in fun literacy activities.
Alongside the parade, our Book Fair will be running, giving students the opportunity to purchase books and help raise funds for new library resources.
Please read the article from Ms Grassi, our Teacher-Librarian, to find out more about this wonderful event!
A gentle reminder to all families: even though the weather may be wet and cold, it’s important for students to attend school every day unless they are unwell. Being present at school ensures students can continue learning and participating in all the wonderful events and opportunities happening in our community. Congratulations to Kindergarten who currently have the highest attendance rate Every day counts!
