Kindergarten 2026 Enrolment and Transition Information 

If you have a child starting Kindergarten in 2026, now is the time to enrol! Please complete the online enrolment form as soon as possible. 

Meadowbank Minis Playgroup 2026

We are excited to offer a playgroup for children who are enrolled to start Kindergarten in 2026. It is on from Friday 1 August to Friday 19 September, 1:30 -2:15 pm in the school library. If you would like your child to attend, please complete the playgroup registration form.

Sporting Schools 1 September-23 September

Sporting Schools is a $320 million Australian Government program designed to help schools increase children’s participation in physical activity and connect children with community sport. 

 

Engagement in sport and physical activity can help keep children healthy, happy and socially engaged, all of which can impact on their intellectual capacity and academic achievements. 

 

Sporting Schools afternoon sessions will run for 4 weeks (starting in Term 3 Week 7 and finishing in Term 3 Week 10). These popular sessions are from 2:45 pm – 3:45 pm on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. 

 

Other important information:

  • If you wish to enrol your child, click on the appropriate link below to be taken to an Expression of Interest (EOI) form. Expression of interests are only accepted in the student's name.
  • Please note if your child attends TheirCare OSHC on Monday or Tuesday they areNOT eligiblefor these sessions. 
  • There is a limit of 60 students per day.
  • There are limited places so once the session is full the form will not accept your expression of interest.   
  • Successful students will require permission to be given in the Sentral Parent app. Failure to do this will result in a loss of placement.
  • Only fill in the expression of interest form for either Monday or Tuesday ONLY. Do not complete both.

Community Hub - Thursday 18 September

Join us for an informative session at our Community Hub on Thursday 18 September at 9 am in the school hall. This event is designed for parents of K-6 students and will focus on creating cyber-safe environments for your children. Learn valuable tips and strategies to help keep your family safe online and foster responsible digital habits. Together, we can ensure our children navigate the digital world securely. We look forward to seeing you there! 

 

County Fair - Wednesday 24 September

Information has been sent out on the Sentral Parent app for our upcoming County Fair! Please pay $10 for your child to participate in different activities on the day. We are also holding our White Elephant store to sell pre-loved toys and books. Drop-off your items in Mr Johnston's room in L2 by Week 9.

 

Ancestor Appreciation Day - Thursday 25 September 

An afternoon celebration during school time. All families welcome, with a special welcome to grandparents. We are also inviting family members to help us organise and make this day a special celebration. You may like to:

 

  • Suggest music for our Parade of Nations and afternoon celebration
  • Help create our Families Photo Collage display
  • Share valuable insights, ideas, or traditions that could be part of the day.

     

If you are interested, please email the school office and include “Attention Ms Beard and Ms Emeleus: Ancestor Appreciation Day” in the subject line. In your email, let us know how you would like to be involved.

 

There will also be a quick meeting for interested parents and family members on Thursday 21 August at 8:00 am in the K2 classroom to help begin organising the event. If you cannot make this meeting, you are still very welcome to help organise the event.

 

Year 2-3 Transition Parent Information Session - Wednesday 22 October

An information session will be held on Wednesday 22 October in the school hall at 8:30 am. The presentation will include important information for Year 2 parents/carers. Information about transitioning into Year 3 will be provided including PSSA and NAPLAN.
