Naming Belongings

Now that we are going into Summer, all students are required to wear a hat every playtime. They will be required to play in the shade without one. Please ensure your child's name is on their hat. It makes it easier for staff to help find lost items when they are named.

Seesaw Tasks

On Seesaw, there is a revision post that includes a range of High Frequency Words, Phase 2 and Phase 3 sounds and pseudo words (our Term 4 focus). Please utilise this post as a part of your nightly reading to further support your child.

Homework

It has been lovely to see so many faces on our Mathseeds posters to begin the term. This means that your child is applying their learning from school. Thank you for your support in instilling a strong homework routine for your child.

The expectation is 1 lesson of Mathseeds completed a week (Sunday - Saturday). Please remember that Sunday starts the new week.

The other homework expectation is reading 4 nights for 15 minutes. This is to be written in your child's diary and signed. Diaries should come to school every day.

Devices

Our Year 2 students really enjoy engaging with our programs (Maths Invaders and Reading Eggspress). When your child forgets their iPad or it is on a low percentage/flat, this restricts their engagement. Thank you for your continued support in creating a home routine with your child which involves charging their iPad and placing it in their bag.

CraftPower Pyrography Invisit

On Wednesday 26th November, Year 3 students will have the opportunity to take part in a pyrography (wood burning) workshop led by CraftPower. Each class will have 2 hours to design, burn their design onto wood using a special tool and then frame their design. We are seeking parent volunteers to support with this activity in school. If you would be available on this day and have a valid Working with Children Check please contact your child's teacher to volunteer.
