Thank you for your donations!

Message from the Visual Art Team

A reminder to please submit any entries for the BPS Easter Art Competition this week to the tables out the front of the art room. Entries close 9am Tuesday 1st April, no late entries will be accepted. Please contain your creations to a regular shoe box size or smaller. The winners will be announced at the Easter Assembly on the last day of Term 1 (Friday 4th April 9:10am). Competition entries will need to be collected on this day, too, please. Good luck to all who have participated and we love seeing all of your creative entries!

We have also had a wonderful turn out of students designing their Ellen Jose 'what does Reconciliation mean to me' artworks. The art room will continue to be open on a Monday and Tuesday at lunchtime, for the remainder of Term 1, to help support students with their entries. Submissions can be completed at school or at home on A3 paper. These submissions are due by the 30th of April, either by completing the details on this link or by delivering it to the art room.

We are seeking old pool noodles to recycle for a school project. Please drop off any donations to the art room or office. Thank you!

Further information regarding the Ellen Jose Art Competition can be found here.

Volunteering at BPS

Beaumaris Primary School highly values our community and the support we receive from parents and carers in many different aspects of school life. We welcome the opportunity for parents and carers to volunteer within our school across a range of different school-based activities.

In previous years, we have held information sessions to provide volunteers with the required information in order to volunteer. This year, we have created a digital Volunteer Handbook and an online induction process to ensure that the information is accessible to parents/carers at a time that suits them.

If you would like to volunteer at Beaumaris Primary School, the process will now be:

  • Read the below BPS Volunteer Handbook, which includes the below policies and documents:
    • BPS Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy
    • BPS Child Safety Code of Conduct Policy
    • BPS Child Safety Responding and Reporting Policy
    • BPS Volunteers Policy
    • BPS Volunteer Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Induction Handbook.

  • Complete this online form, which includes both the Volunteer OHS Induction Checklist and the Volunteering at Beaumaris Primary School Questionnaire (https://forms.office.com/r/X1JfFrAPsa).

  • Email a scanned copy or provide in person for photocopying a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) card to the office staff.

The above process will need to be completed prior to volunteering at Beaumaris Primary School. This process can be completed at any stage throughout the year, at a time that suits you.

We thank you for your interest in volunteering and supporting our students, staff and school community.
