Year 5/6 Learning Reflection
on our way to Interschool sports
During Maths over the past two weeks the Grade 6 students have been learning about the order of operations to help us solve multi-step number sentences.
The Grade 5 students have been revisiting concepts with NAPLAN fast approaching in week 7 and completing some practise tests.
As part of our Literacy block, we have been drafting our own persuasive letters based on our serial read. We have been thinking about the benefits of having a therapy dog at school and how it could impact students learning and well being.
We have been taking part in a new assessment called Dibels. We have read a short nonfiction text to our teachers and also completed a sentence piece called the 'Maze', to help us improve our pace, expression and comprehension.
The Harmony Day festival is happening on the 21st of March - week 9, so we have been fitting in practises, singing and improving our dance moves where ever we can.
Please remember to practise at home too.
