Year 3/4 Learning Reflection

In Grade 4, students in Maths have been learning to:

• Convert mixed numbers to improper fractions
• Convert improper fractions to mixed numbers
• Place mixed numbers on a number line 

In Reading, we have been learning to read fluently, focusing on four things while we read: rate, expression, accuracy and punctuation. 

This week in phonics, we’ve been focusing on the /e/ sound. Students have explored different spelling patterns, including e, ai, and ea.

The Grade 3 students in Writing have been learning how to take notes.

Grade 4 students in Writing have been learning about fragments and complete sentences. 

4A were able to visit Sunshine College to practice our Harmony Day song. 

Grade 3 students have been practicing writing numbers in standard and expanded form.
