We are practicing our heart words. Heart words is a strategy of learning irregular high frequency words. We focus on the individual sounds that don't follow the common rules and learn this part by heart.

We have been learning the difference between a fragment  (an incomplete thought) and a sentence (a complete thought). We know that a sentence needs a 'subject' (who or what the sentence is about) and a 'predicate' (what the subject is doing).  We have been learning that a sentence needs a capital letter at the start and an end punctuation (. ! ?) at the end of the sentence.
