WPS Community Children’s Garden

On Monday 3 March, Garden Club had a clean up of rubbish and fallen branches around the Community Garden area as part of Clean Up Australia Day. Our most common items collected were soft plastic chip packets and lolly wrappers. Our rubbish joined that collected by the whole school on Friday, which was coordinated by the Environment Leaders.

Our Garden Clean Up event was even attended by a Ring Tail Possum who was awoken by the excitement.

In line with the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle motto, as reward for our clean up efforts, everyone was given an empty strawberry/tomato punnet, which we reused by filling with raspberries from the school garden.
