Pastoral Wellbeing

The Resilience Project

I hope all families are enjoying the opportunity to engage with our TRP resources available via the Parent and Carer Hub. If you haven't yet had a look please feel free to access the site via the following QR code on the poster below. There are so many fabulous resources available for families which will support students in embedding the TRP wellbeing strategies in our school community.

Over the coming weeks, students are going to be focusing on the GEM traits of Gratitude and Empathy in our TRP lessons. Senior students have been learning about the Science of Kindness and impact the hormone Oxytocin has on our social behaviours such as building our ability to bond, trust and empathise with others. They have also been learning about the amazing benefits of laughter and how the connection between laughter and gratitude allows us to feel joy and happiness.

The senior students have been provided with a "Take it Home" activity to practise empathy at home with their families. Please find the link here if you didn't receive your hardcopy from school and wish to check it out:

GEM Chats
