Excitement has continued to build as we prepare for our upcoming production of Disney's 'Alice in Wonderland JR'.
We are looking forward to beginning our full cast rehearsals, bringing together students from Prep to Year 6 for the first time. It is always a special milestone when the entire cast comes together, and we can't wait to see the production begin to take shape on stage.
Our Year 5/6 students have been working incredibly hard to memorise their lines, refine their characterisation, and rehearse their scenes. Their dedication and enthusiasm have been wonderful to see, and they are making fantastic progress.
Behind the scenes, our staff are also preparing for production week by taking on a variety of important theatre roles. Teachers and Education Support staff will be working as stage managers, backstage crew, microphone managers, prompters and in many other roles to ensure each performance runs smoothly.
A huge thank you to our staff, students, volunteers, and families for your ongoing support. We are incredibly excited to share our hard work with our school community on Monday the 24th and Tuesday the 25th of August! Don’t forget to purchase tickets to come and celebrate your child’s efforts!
See you there!

Over the past few weeks in PE, students across the entire school have focused on cooperative games that highlight our core school values.
Prep - Year 2
Our junior classes in Prep to Year 2 had fantastic fun playing group games like 'Fruit Salad' and 'Hungry Hippos'. Through these activities, the younger students practiced sharing, taking turns, and finding ways to include everyone in fast-paced settings.
Years 3 - 6
Our students in Years 3 to 6 tackled a variety of challenging cooperative team games. I used a secret scoring system to award points whenever students actively displayed our school values. By the end of the sessions, the senior students became true experts at demonstrating outstanding teamwork, respect, and fair play.
It has been wonderful to see all year levels support each other and bring our school values to life through sport.

Prep
Students investigated how sunlight creates shadows before exploring the Moon through hands-on experiments and textured artworks. They discovered how light helps us see the Moon and experimented with different artistic techniques to represent its unique surface. These experiences encouraged curiosity while strengthening observation, communication, and creative thinking skills.
Years 1 & 2
Students investigated how shadows are formed by tracing and comparing them throughout the day before transforming their observations into imaginative shadow creature artworks. They also explored Indigenous perspectives by learning about the Emu in the Sky story and creating symbolic artworks inspired by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge of the night sky and Country.
Years 3 & 4
NASA's engineering teams moved into the research and planning stages of their mission. Students investigated the systems required for a successful space colony, including food, water, transport, and energy, before creating detailed engineering drawings and professional blueprints. They learned how research, collaboration, and careful planning are essential to successful engineering projects.
Years 5 & 6
Students explored the causes of day and night, investigated Earth's rotation, and learned about the changing appearance of the Moon. Through practical investigations and creative modelling activities, they deepened their understanding of how movements in space create predictable patterns we observe from Earth.
