RESPECT Program

BHHS RESPECT Program will have Year 8 students participating in a drumming workshop that is looking at focussed attention and self-regulation, part of BHHS Learner Behaviours that are linked to School Wide Positive Behaviours and the work staff are doing with the VTLM 2.0 Science of Learning. 

 

RESEPCT PROGRAM Themes: 

  • Year 7 – Consent Education as part of their HPE Growing Bodies unit

  • Year 8 – Gender Norms and Stereotypes. Enquire with your child what topic their group has selected to research and present on at the Year 8 Student Led Conference. held at end of Term 3! 

  • Year 9 – Cultural Strengths celebrating NAIDOC and exploring First Nations Perspectives. Ask your child about what fundraising activity their class is doing for the Mullum Mullum Gathering Place

Adolescent Drug Use – Victoria Police Incursion

Students in Year 9, 10 and 11 will take part in the Party Safe program in Term 3 that is run by Victoria Police for youth. 

 

Please chat to your child about what was covered in the presentation and ways to navigate risk taking behaviours that they or their friends might find themselves in.

Headspace Box Hill 

We are immensely proud of our School Captain, Rohan MR's, advocacy work. With the funds he raised running 100km on his 18th Birthday, Headspace Box Hill have created the Rohan Support Fund that local youth can access for emergency support.
