CIS Cross Country Carnival
In the final week of Term 2, four Junior School Kambala students—Cleo Colman, Isabella Zhang, Emma Kennedy, and Ava Phillips—competed in the CIS Cross Country Carnival at the International Equestrian Centre. Battling tough conditions, they ran with fierce determination and represented our school with tremendous pride. Congratulations to all four athletes on a fantastic achievement; we look forward to following their running journey!

Pippa D takes Centre Stage at the Queensland Festival of Showjumping
Just before the school holidays, Year 5 student Pippa D Sze, packed her boots and travelled up to Queensland to compete at the prestigious Queensland Festival of Showjumping.
Riding her horse,Izzy, Pippa D delivered a standout performance in the 80cm class. Going head-to-head against a tough field of 18 competitors, Pippa D and Izzy earned an incredible 3rd place finish!
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that Pippa D was competing in an open division against riders of all ages. Placing on the podium at this level is a true reflection of the dedication, discipline, and determination Pippa D brings to her training every single day.

In the last week of Term 2, we had three Kambala students travel to Sydney Equestrian Centre to compete in the Cross Country CIS carnival, representing IGSA and Kambala. Aria Calabro (Year 9), Tali Desmond and Piper Sweeny (Year 10) all had strong races, pushing themselves right to the finish line. Despite the poor weather, all students showed such great competitiveness, commitment and grit to get through the gruelling race at an impressive pace. It was inspiring to see them push themselves to their limit and represent the school with pride. Well done girls!

Snowsports
We had 33 girls compete at the Sydney Regional Snowsports Championships in Perisher during the final week of the holidays. It was an outstanding week, with many of our students delivering impressive performances and winning medals across a range of events.
Students from K to Year 12 represented the school, showcasing remarkable commitment and determination. 23 students have qualified for the State Championships in August, with several girls earning places in multiple events.12 medals were won across the week including 4 gold!
These achievements are a testament to the dedication of our competitors, who gave up the final week of their holidays to compete, with many also spending the previous week training in preparation for the championships. A special mention to the Year 12 students Frankie Johnston, Isabella Hupfau and Claudia McKee who competed whilst also managing study time before their HSC trials.

Brooklyn Beck NSW Gymnastics
Brooklyn Beck (Year 11) recently represented Team NSW at a gymnastics competition,
where she and her teammates achieved an outstanding 2nd place overall in the team event. Brooklyn also had an impressive individual performance, placing 6th on the beam.
Congratulations Brooklyn! We are all so proud of your hard work, dedication and fantastic achievements.

Lola Joffee Softball
A huge congratulations to Lola Joffee (Year 10), who proudly represented Australia last week at the WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup 2027 Oceania Qualifier.
The tournament featured three teams competing in a triple round-robin format, with each team playing the others three times. At stake were two coveted qualification spots for the 2027 WBSC U-15 Women’s Softball World Cup, to be held next year in Oklahoma City, USA.
Team Australia delivered an outstanding performance, finishing the tournament undefeated with six wins to claim first place and secure their place at the World Cup.
Congratulations Lola on this incredible achievement! We are so proud of your hard work and dedication, and we wish you and Team Australia every success as you prepare to compete on the world stage next year. We can't wait to cheer you on!
