YEAR 4

FROM THE CLASSROOM  

Hello Year 4 Families,

In Reading, we listened to a podcast called ‘Convict Kids’ and learnt about some of the children who were part of the First Fleet. 

In Writing, we looked at the structure of our model text ‘Stone Trolls’ and began innovating and writing our own version of the story. 

In Maths, Hub 1 continued building their understanding of solving division problems and Hub 2 began looking at mixed numbers and improper fractions. 

In Inquiry, we continued to build our understanding of the reasons for colonisation and what life was like in Australia prior to colonisation. 

In Wellbeing, we looked at people who can help us at school and in our community.
