YEAR 1

FROM THE CLASSROOM
In Week 4, students continued investigating education and Australian Schools in the past by exploring a rich and meaningful non-fiction text during our Reading lessons.
They were excited to build their reading comprehension of knowledge and skills by making connections to what they experienced during last week's Coal Creek excursion.
In Writing, students explored using a range of adjectives and learnt how to correctly "pile" adjectives to create more detailed and engaging imaginative writing.
In Mathematics, students celebrated their growth in counting fluency and consolidated their subtraction strategies through a bundle of hands-on activities.
