From the Principal

Dear families, 

Thank you all for the fantastic turn out for our Book Week celebrations. It was great to see so many families represented, from our Pre School community to those who are in the last couple of years of schooling. Our Director, Mr Wright was in school on Wednesday afternoon and he stated how nice it was to see the cohesion between all students.

Year 12 have been gearing up for their final weeks of school and I want to say a big congrats to those who sat and completed their trial exams over the last couple of weeks.

Next Wednesday will see us play host to the six Riverina Access Partnership schools and I want to say thank you to the P&C for their efforts in providing what is always a stellar meal for all students and staff. I also want to thank them for their efforts in running the canteen, and Father’s Day stall this term. Don’t forget that the P&C are only as strong as their members, please let them know if you would like to join.

Attendance

We recently sent out letters to several families. Attendance is important for a number of reasons and as such missed days need to be explained. Chronic absence can result in disengagement from school, struggles in learning, and impact social connections. There are an increased number of students in the secondary space who are missing days without a reasonable explanation and lateness is increasing as well. We understand that there are days when things happen and events that require leave, but not all explanations are reasonable and as such are unjustified. If you require support in getting your child to school, please reach out.

Road Safety

All students need to wear a helmet if they are riding to and from school. This is the law.
