Ardlethan Hospital Auxiliary News

The Ardlethan Hospital Auxiliary held their AGM on Friday morning 14th August in the CWA rooms, followed by the August General Meeting.

 

  • Eight members were joined by guests State  Secretary Liane Preinbergs and her husband Michael from Tumut.
  • Apologies were received from four members.
  • Following the minutes of the last AGM being read President Lyn Litchfield gave a comprehensive report outlining events for 2025/26.  
  • The Forum held in Coolamon earlier in the year was attended by six members who enjoyed a lovely day.
  • Treasurer Sue Diggelmann gave her first annual report which showed a very healthy bank balance.
  • State Secretary Liane gave a talk saying UHA raised and gave over 5 million dollars to Hospitals around the State.
  • The State Conference will be held in October in Wollongong with the Regional Conference to be held in Yass next April.
  • The Mobile Skin Check Clinic bus is in the area at present and will return again next April to the Riverina. Local executives to talk to other organisations on possibility of maybe combining resources to come to Ardlethan.
  • Liane took the chair for the election of office bearers. All executives were returned for a further year unopposed.

    • Vice President - Aileen Bound;
    • Treasurer - Sue Diggelmann;
    • Secretary - Christine Fairman;
    • Auditor - Elizabeth Menzies;
    • Publicity Officer - Aileen Bound;
    • Patrons - Audrey McDermott, Shirley Crittenden, Sylvia Gillett.
  • Branch membership rose From $5 to $8.

 

At the General Meeting The Father’s Day Raffle was discussed and it was pleasing to hear the Coolamon Hotel have donated $100 meal voucher and wine for the raffle. Tickets will be sold in the Main Street  on Friday August 28th and September 4th. A big thank you to the Coolamon Hotel.

 

A letter will be written to Temora Hospital regarding the up keep of the Medical Centre’s gardens.

 

Following the conclusion of the meeting a light luncheon was provided by members.
