Assistant Principal's Message

As we enter Term 2, I would like to wish you all a Happy Easter.
This term brings new life to our senses. At St Margaret Mary's in Term 1, we saw many innovations and activities introduced to bring a sense of belonging. For example, joining touch football, choir or being acknowledged for your efforts. These ways of being help us feel extraordinary within the ordinary timetable of the day.
If your child has discussed an interest in an extracurricular activity, or would like to engage in an activity, please don't hesitate to reach out. Feeling 'connected' to school is so important and often it is taking that first step to 'ask' and attend an activity that truly strengthens those connections.
Reminders
Assembly
Our community gathers for prayer and celebration across the week:
• Monday — Assembly + National Anthem
• Tuesday, Thursday & Friday — Prayer as a community
• Friday — Pillar Awards
Principal Awards
This year's Principal Awards will continue with an updated schedule. Awards are now presented at the beginning of the following term, rather than at Week 10. This allows families time to be notified and plan accordingly.
| Term 1 awards | Presented Week 1, Term 2 |
| Term 2 awards | Presented Week 1, Term 3 |
| Term 3 awards | Presented Week 1, Term 4 |
| Term 4 awards | End-of-year Awards Ceremony |
Note: The Term 4 awards are presented as part of our end-of-year Awards Ceremony, which includes many special acknowledgements.
In partnership,
Anthony Matthews
Assistant Principal
