Science Exhibition Night

Dear JMSS Community,

On Thursday 22nd of May, year 10 students at JMSS showcased their work in their elective sciences for Science Exhibtiion Night. The focus on interactive exhibits led to a range of activities including fairy floss neutron stars, black hole simulations, magic card tricks, chemical colour changes and Mars habitats. Dissections of eyes, fish, toads, hearts and lungs were a big part of the event and despite some squeamishness, the visitors were enthralled by the students expertise and knowledge.

This event showcased the learning of students and the passion of staff in their particular fields of expertise.  It is an important event on our calendar where prospective students come and explore their options and make their decision to apply. A big thanks to all the students who engaged their friends, parents and the public through their displays, conversations and interactions.

The regional exchange students also attended and helped out with their electives as well as reviewing the posters and exhibits.
