A call to serve!

The month of June has seen our Early Learning Centre embrace the call to serve in a powerful way. Under the leadership of Mrs Lauren Hughes, our Early Learning Centre Director, we have had the honour of hosting three 'Biggest Morning Teas', a beautiful initiative that raises money for the Cancer Council.

This organisation supports individuals and families affected by cancer through vital research, education, and care services. It is a cause close to many hearts, and one we know you will agree is incredibly deserving of our support.

Hosting the Biggest Morning Tea has become far more than a fundraising event. It has created rich learning opportunities for our children. Our Teachers and Educators have been able to partner with children in exploring big concepts, illness and healing, helping those in need, and what it means to be a vessel of Christ’s love in the world.

Through storytelling, prayer, songs, and shared conversation, children have shown empathy, asked thoughtful questions, and demonstrated their desire to help. They are beginning to understand that even at a young age, they can make a difference.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10

This event allows us to live out our faith, teaching children that serving others reflects God’s heart.

We are so grateful to our families for your generous support through your presence, prayers, donations, and heartfelt encouragement.

It is in these shared moments that we see the heart of our community shine brightest.

Together, we are raising more than funds, we are raising a generation of compassionate, thoughtful, Christ-centred learners.
