Debating
Congratulations to our Year 5 debating team for their fantastic effort in round 2 against Biddabah! While they didn’t come away with the win this time, they tackled the challenging topic—"That Years 5 and 6 kids should do all their school work on a screen instead of using textbooks and paper"—with great courage and teamwork as the affirmative team. We are so proud of how you represented our school and gave it your all. Well done!
Thank you to Mrs Kilmurray and Mrs Hunter for your support of the team.

GALA Day Highlights!
Last week, our Junior and Senior Soccer and Netball teams wrapped up their GALA Day events with skill, spirit, and sportsmanship!
Soccer Standouts:
Our Junior Soccer team brought the heat with a 9-0 win over Maryland and 4-0 over Barnsley! A narrow 0-1 loss to Wallsend South was followed by a strong finish, defeating Cardiff South 3-1.
The Senior Soccer team also started strong with wins over Maryland (4-0) and Barnsley (3-0). After a tight 2-3 battle with Wallsend South, they finished up with a tough match against Cardiff South.
Every player gave it their all and showed outstanding teamwork and skill on the field.
Netball Highlights:
Our Junior Netball team came away with 3 wins and 1 loss, and the Seniors fought hard to earn 1 win across 4 games.
Well done to all players for representing Edgeworth PS with pride!
Lost Property
As the weather gets colder, here is a timely reminder for students to pack or wear their jumpers to school. During this time of year, we also find that our lost property grows when jumpers are being taken on and off, so please remember to label them with your child's name.
If jumpers do go missing and are found, our teachers, SASS staff and parent helpers return any labelled ones to your child's classroom. Those without names can be found in our lost property cupboard outside the canteen. It is currently overflowing, so please be sure to check there is your child's jumper is missing.
