Let me take you on a magical journey through the museum. Look at the colour and attention to detail illustrations. The setting comes alive with a playful adventure. Once the lights are out and the doors are locked of the museum, the toys bounce off the shelves and the fun begins. You will want to play the game too! Come to the BPS Library and read, 'Lost In The Museum' by David Lucas.
BOOK WEEK & DRESS-UP DAY IS COMING IN TERM 3
At times, some students have been disappointed that they cannot borrow a new book.
Please can you search for any overdue BPS books around your homes, cars, schoolbags etc.
There are many popular missing books from the library shelves that we would love to see returned.
Is your book LOST? Please replace it!
Thank you for your assistance!
We are now on our way to reading for the Challenge and we are off on a great start too!
Welcome Readers!
Brighton Primary School is very excited once again to be a Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge School.
Students will be coming home soon with their NEW individual username and passcodes to login.
During your Library session, we will give you your unique username and passcode login details.
Last year login details will not work!!!
All students across Prep to Year Six have been registered and are welcome to join the Premiers’ Reading Challenge.
How to log in online:
A series of links to help you navigate the challenge site can be accessed on the Department of Education website (including adding books, such as home readers or eBooks) can be accessed at: https://www.vic.gov.au/premiers-reading-challenge
It is also recommended that books are entered progressively onto the system throughout the Challenge. The school Coordinator will verify books throughout the Challenge, which will be done on a weekly basis, but please keep in mind that the system updates overnight.
To be successful in the challenge you must complete the following requirements:
Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students can read independently or ‘experience’ books for the Challenge. ‘Experience’ a book can include a shared reading, listening, reading along and being read to by teachers, aides, family members, or other students.
Challenge Booklists can be accessed on your ‘dashboard’ and also at:
https://www.vic.gov.au/premiers-reading-challenge-book-lists
Please note: The Premiers' Reading Challenge is not managed by Brighton Primary School. If you are experiencing any technical difficulties, please contact the Premiers' Reading Challenge support line; Email: readingchallenge@education.vic.gov.au
The Challenge is on now until 05 September 2025.
