From Principal Steve - Celebrating Wellbeing Week at School

This week we have been celebrating Wellbeing Week—a wonderful opportunity for our students to focus on building habits and strategies to support their physical and mental wellbeing.

Throughout the week, students explored a range of activities and discussions designed to help them better understand what wellbeing means, and how they can take care of both their bodies and their minds. From mindfulness and movement to healthy choices and kindness, the week has been full of meaningful moments.

We encourage you to take some time to chat with your child about what they learned. Ask them what new ideas or techniques they discovered that help them feel calm, happy, or strong. You might even like to try one of these strategies together as a family!

Here are a few simple ideas you could try:

  • Go for a family bike ride or a walk in the fresh air
  • Do something kind for someone else in your family, a neighbour, or a friend
  • Cook and enjoy a healthy meal together
  • Take a few quiet minutes to practice some mindful breathing

We have truly enjoyed the opportunity to slow down and focus on wellbeing this week, and we hope the conversations and practices continue at home. Let's keep working together to make wellbeing a priority—not just for a week, but every day.
