Year 10 Work Experience

This week our Year 10 students stepped out of the classroom and into the world of work, completing a week of work experience across a variety of industries.

This hands-on opportunity allowed students to see how their learning connects to real careers, develop valuable skills, and discover new interests.

Now, as Semester One comes to a close, we encourage our Year 10s to reflect on both their work experience and their academic journey so far. Thinking about what they enjoyed, the challenges they faced, and the skills they developed can help them gain a clearer sense of their strengths and aspirations.

These reflections are especially important as students begin to consider their subject selections and pathways for Year 11. We hope that every Year 10 takes the time to have meaningful conversations with family and friends about their experiences. Sharing what they learned—both in the workplace and at school—can help them make informed decisions about which subjects and pathways will best support their future goals.

By reflecting on their work experience and Semester One achievements, students can choose subjects that align with their interests and ambitions, setting themselves up for success in Senior School and beyond. We are proud of our Year 10s and look forward to seeing how these experiences shape their next steps.
