Gandhi House
The first two terms of 2025 have been jam-packed with House events and through each one, the students have continued to impress me with their willingness to be involved - even with activities they are not familiar with. I have seen students make the ACC team for Cross Country, having never run 3km before. Students have stepped in at the last minute to help our Interhouse Drama Team. I have witnessed such an immense amount of House spirit and community, whether it be playing Uno during PCG or competing in Sync Swim together. Thank you to all Gandhi students who have been involved in the life of Gandhi House in Semester One. Let’s keep this incredible spirit going as we head into Semester Two.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our incredible Gandhi Captain and School Prefect, Rory Bingham and Mackenzie Marshall, alongside all members of the Year 12 leadership team. They have truly set such an incredible standard with their work ethic, genuine care for others and House spirit. We are very lucky to have you in Gandhi House.
I hope all students and families have a safe and relaxing holiday and I look forward to seeing you all for the start of Term Three. We head straight into the Interhouse Athletics Carnival in Week 2 so get ready!

Lincoln House
Today, as is tradition at St George’s, Term Two’s final curtain comes in the shape of our annual Lincoln Charity Day Fair. Once again, it was a lovely day of fun, rest and relaxation in which students enjoyed time with their friends, eating, bouncing, playing sports and dancing at a silent disco.
Headspace Osborne Park – the beneficiaries of funds raised today - were at the event manning a stall, raising awareness for youth mental health. I would like to thank Chloe Dunne for her assistance. If you have not yet donated, please see the attachment below to be directed to the Black Swan donation page. Please ensure to then send an email to vlim@stgeorges.wa.edu.au and to leave a comment donating to headspace Osborne Park, so that we can ensure that all donations go to the right place!
As I reflect on all of the amazing events that we have had in Term Two: the Interhouse Performing Arts Festival, House Week, Book Week and of course our win at the Interhouse Cross Country, I can’t help but be proud of the teamwork and camaraderie of our Lincoln community. I’m looking forward to what Term Three will bring, especially with the Interhouse Athletics Carnival held in Week Two! As always, I wish everyone a safe and relaxing holiday break, and I will see you all in our new campus building at 441 Murray Street next term.

Mandela House
As we wrap up what has been an incredible Semester One, I want to take a moment to celebrate the outstanding spirit, effort, and energy shown by Mandela House. From the Interhouse Swimming Carnival to Sync Swim, Cross Country, and the Interhouse Performing Arts Festival, our students have consistently stepped up, participated with passion, and made us proud.
Next semester kicks off quickly with the Interhouse Athletics Carnival in Week 2 of Term Three. This is a key event, especially for our Year 12 students as it’s one of their final chances to contribute big points toward the House Cup and be part of their last Athletics Carnival. Let’s make it count. Start getting those running shoes ready and bring your best on the day.
House Week returns in Week 4, offering another chance to earn valuable House Points. We saw fantastic involvement in Term Two's House Week, thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make it a success. Let’s raise the bar again in Term 3!
Battle of the Bands is also heating up! If you're musically inclined and keen to be part of Mandela's House Band, sign-ups are available on the House Board. You’ll also find an online form in your inbox so get involved and show us what you have got.
With continued passion, pride, and participation, Mandela House is ready to keep the momentum going and make Term 3 our strongest yet.
