Child Safeguarding

At St Joseph's, we are committed to creating and maintaining a safe environment for children and young people, adhering to the Child Safe Standards and relevant legislation.
There are 11 Child Safe Standards - we will explore each one and how St Joseph's addresses the standards.
Standard 3
Children and young people are empowered about their rights, participate in decisions affecting them and are taken seriously.
Volunteers
We love to include parents and supporters in the life of our school.
If you would like to support events at St Joseph's, you are required to hold a Working With Children Check.
To apply for a Working with Children Card, you will need to:
- Prove your identity with documents using your phone
- Fill out an online form
- Pay if you need to (volunteer checks are free)
- Consent to us passing your info on to do your check.
Current members of St Joseph's Parents & Friends and School Advisory Council will be asked to complete an online module as a volunteer of our school.
- This invite was sent to members of the School Advisory Council and Parents & Friends during the week.
- It will come as an invitation to the St Joseph's Staff Learning System.
Other parents/volunteers will be invited to complete this module as we'd love to have many registered volunteers.
