Year 6 Confirmation Retreat Day

On Thursday, 22nd August, all Year 6 students participated in a Confirmation retreat day. The day was organised by Miss Dillion and prepared the children to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

The day was filled with reflection, learning and community as each student presented their meticulously researched projects on their chosen saints. The depth of understanding and the detail in their presentations were truly impressive.

We were very fortunate to have Bishop Tony Ireland and Fr. Leenus also join us on the day, providing the students with inspiration and guidance as the students prepare for their Confirmation.

Term Three Topic Unit: Business and Economics

Over the last few weeks, our Year 5 and 6 students have shown incredible enthusiasm and creativity as they dive into their Shark Tank projects. From brainstorming innovative ideas to developing business plans, it’s been inspiring to see their entrepreneurial spirits in action.

A special thank you goes out to all the parents who generously gave up their time to participate in the market research surveys at the gate. Your insights and support have been invaluable in helping our students refine their ideas and better understand their target markets. We look forward to seeing these projects come to life.

Guest Speaker: Maree Paris

As we continue to delve further into our Business and Economics unit, we were very fortunate to be visited by Maree Paris, owner of Tic, Tac Toe Early Psychology. Maree talked to the Year 5 and 6 students about how she set up her own business. Maree explained to the children how she was inspired by a note she wrote to herself as a child to become a psychologist. She helped the children understand how she used her skills and expertise to set up her own business. The students were able to see the process she went through, how she considered colour psychology to create her logo and signage. She also explained the concept of ABNs and creating a business and marketing campaign through Google.
