Celebrating National Week Against Bullying

This past week, our school proudly participated in the National Week Against Bullying, embracing the theme of belonging. Throughout the week, it was heartwarming to see so many students from all year levels engaging in our lunchtime activities. These events not only fostered creativity and teamwork but also encouraged our students to actively include not just their friends but peers from across different year levels.

The participation highlighted Brookside’s commitment to an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and connected. By taking part in activities like friendship bracelet making and collaborative art projects, our students demonstrated a commitment to the idea that everyone has a place and that bullying has no room in a community where everyone belongs.

These activities are more than just fun and games—they are part of our broader, proactive approach to student mental health and wellbeing. When students feel connected and valued, they are less likely to engage in or become victims of bullying. Our week of activities has strengthened the bonds within our school community, reinforcing the message that every student plays a role in making our school a safe and welcoming place for all.
