Fast Food 


Year 10 Fast Food class cooked Chicken Stir-fry.

Discussing dietary requirements within our class and the importance of including a wide variety of vegetables in the dishes that we make. 

Year 10 Fast Food class completed their Design Brief today. 

Students had to follow the Design Process, "To Design: A quick cook, healthy breakfast, for a new Cafe in the Botanical Gardens".

Today's dishes ranged from Acai Bowls, vegetarian, Yatcos, protein packed egg and bacon breakfasts with a fruit smoothie on the side, and of course pancakes!

Ingredients:

2 C Weeties (into large bowl)   

¼ C currants

1tsp cocoa

¼ C coconut

1/3 C condensed milk

3 extra Tb coconut (onto a metal plate)

12 patty cases 

 

Method:

  1. Wash hands, put on apron and collect ingredients on to a metal plate.
  2. In a large bowl CRUSH Weeties using your hands.
  3. Add to the Weeties currants, cocoa and ¼ C coconut and stir with a metal spoon.
  4. Add condensed milk and mix well.
  5. Place extra coconut onto a metal plate.
  6. Place paper patty cases onto bench.
  7. Wet hands and press Tb amount of mixture into a ball. (do not squash)
  8. Roll balls in coconut and place into patty cases.
  9. Place into refrigerator to set.
