Dear Families,

As part of our ongoing commitment to the well-being of our students and community, we are recognising R U OK? Day. This important day is dedicated to encouraging meaningful conversations and supporting mental health by simply asking, "Are you OK?"

What is R U OK? Day?

R U OK? Day is a national day of action that reminds us all to connect with those around us and support each other. It’s a day to check in with friends, family, and colleagues, and offer a listening ear or a helping hand. It's a reminder that our simple actions can make a significant difference in someone’s life

How You Can Get Involved:

- Check-In: Take a moment to ask your child, friends, or family members how they’re feeling. Listen actively and offer your support.- Share Resources: Use the materials and resources provided by RU OK? Day to start conversations at home. You can find these resources on the R U OK? website. Website: https://www.ruok.org.au/r-u-ok-day

- Be a Role Model: Show empathy, understanding and support in your interactions. Demonstrating these behaviours helps create a supportive environment for everyone.

Additional Resources: For more information on how to start conversations and support mental health, please visit the R U OK? website:(https://www.ruok.org.au). The website offers valuable resources and guidance on how to have meaningful conversations and provide support.

Remember: It’s often the small, everyday actions that can make the biggest difference. By simply asking, “Are you OK?” we can help create a more connected and supportive community.

Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement. Together, we can make a positive impact on the mental health and well-being of our school community.
