Principal's Message
From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 4, Week 7
Good afternoon Parents/Carers,
We are already in Week 7 of Term 4. With only a few weeks left of the school year, it is important that your child attends each day. We look forward to wrapping up the year with some fun activities as well as continuing our learning each day.
Behaviour Focus
Our behaviour focus for Week 7 is Ready - Being Organised:
Swimming & Water Safety Program 2024
We are now into Week 2 of the Swimming & Water Safety Program for our K-2 students and those students in Yrs 3-6 who have been invited to attend. All students are learning some great skills around water safety and are enjoying the program. This program will finish this Friday, 29th November.
School Canteen
The School Canteen is now closed for the rest of Term 4. I would like to personally thank Kelly Darcy and Amanda Millgate who have kindly donated their time to run the canteen on Fridays. It is a big task, and we thank you for your ongoing support to our students and families in keeping the canteen open. Without the help of these ladies, we would not have a canteen for our students to enjoy.
Year 7 Orientation to High School for 2025
If your child is attending a Government High School in 2025, they are required to attend their High School on Tuesday, 3rd December for Orientation. Please ensure that your child attends their High School on this day. Information for Quirindi High School Orientation Day and Parent Information was sent home with our Year 6 students last week. For those students who are attending a Non-Government High School, please contact your chosen High School for their orientation day.
Farewell Montana Harris
Over the last four weeks Miss Montana Harris has attended our school for her university practical component with Miss Overell. Miss Harris has been a great support to both our staff and students in her time here and we wish her well with her future endeavours.
Christmas Visitors
We have some visitors from the North Pole that arrived at school last week, who are causing a bit of a stir. Wiggles and Giggles are getting up to some mischief in and around Werris Creek Public School. Keep an eye out for their latest antics.
Term 1 2025
In 2025 there will be a change to our School Development Days. As a result, the school year will commence as follows:
31/1- 5/2 - School Development Days - Staff only
6/2 All Students Return - Kinder to Yr 6
10/2 - Swimming Carnival 2025
Kind regards
Kathy Nott
