Visual Arts

What a busy and creative time in the Art room this semester!

First our own School Art Exhibition and then the Noble Park Community Centre Exhibition. We’re so proud of all the students who were selected and exhibited their work in this community space. A special mention to Sumi , 5/6 SO for winning in her category and selling her work  and to Aki , 5/6 FI who was awarded an encouragement award for her piece of Art. Congratulations to these students!

The students from Prep to Year 6 have been busy making, creating and working on various projects this term. Prep students have focussed on showing kindness to animals and have expressed this through collage and paintings. The 1/2 students have learned how to weave and have made colourful decorative bowls out of wool. The Year 3/4 classes have explored drawing using a one point perspective and have drawn and painted some very detailed streetscapes. The 5/6 students designed and drew posters to raise awareness about Mental Health Day. Their posters were very detailed and thought provoking.

For the remainder of the year, we’ll be busy creating a nativity scene and celebrating the joys and meaning of Christmas through  a number of activities in the Art room. We are so blessed to have such a lovely Art room to create and learn in!
