Our Year 5 students recently nominated and presented speeches for 2025 leadership roles. Students were advised of the outcome of the student and staff vote last Friday. A commissioning liturgy where leaders will be presented to the whole school community will be held at 2:30pm on Monday 24 February, 2025.

Early in 2025 classes will also nominate SRC representatives. They too, will be presented their badges at the Commissioning Liturgy.

Prep Orientation

Our Prep orientation program continues again this week with the new Prep children spending time with their teachers, Emily and Lauren. Once again, 2025 Prep parents are invited to join us for coffee in the staffroom.

Holy Rosary Science Fair and Science Talent Search 2024

This year many Holy Rosary students entered the Holy Rosary Science Fair and from there, we had 10 students submit their project to the Science Talent Search Victoria competition. We congratulate all students who entered the Science Fair and the competition. We will celebrate student  achievements at our assembly today, Monday 11th November (Week 6) with certificate presentations. We welcome families to join us.

Start to the 2025 School  Year

To ensure teachers have the most up to date information about the students in their new classes and are ready to start the year effectively, we have scheduled assessments for the first days of the school year. Parents will have the opportunity to book a 30-minute one-on-one session for their child, during which teachers will assess reading and maths benchmarks.  Further details, including booking information, will be provided soon.

Prep students will start on Wednesday, January 29, and continue through Friday 31 January, from 8:45am to 12pm. They will transition to full days starting Monday 3 February, with Wednesdays designated as a rest day. All students will start the school year on Monday 3rd February.

If you are leaving Holy Rosary in 2025, please advise the office as soon as you know. Even if you think leaving is a possibility, please tell us to assist with our planning.
