PFA PARENT SOCIAL NIGHT
THURSDAY DEC 5th 7PM, MISSING GORILLA- ELTHAM
Grade 6 graduation will be held on the evening of December 16th, and we are reviving the tradition of Grade 5 parents helping out. Parents from the Grade 5 cohort will assist from 7pm for a few hours at Eltham High School. Helpers will serve food and assist with simple tasks.
If you can help, pls contact Dani (danilupeski@hotmail.com)
Lost Property
A mountain of lost property has appeared again. The PFA will attempt to clear it one more time back to classrooms and then change the system to sort by size rather than classroom.
If you can help with this final sort, meet at the lost property on Monday 2nd at 2pm.
Uniforms
A big thankyou to Alyssa for being the stalwart organiser of the uniform shop, and helping provide such an important service to our school community with the second hand stall. The latest stall was a busy one, being held on a Prep transition day & we raised over $900 for the school.
Term 4 Working Bee
While the PFA aim to run one working bee per term, we have decided to hold off for Term 4 (due to the busy Xmas period) and resume in 2025.
ENPS PFA 2024 Feedback Survey - SUMMARY
Thank you to those who filled in the survey. There were 61 responses in total, representing roughly 20% of our parent/carer cohort. Here is a very high level summary along with outcomes for 2025 (as discussed at the PFA Meeting held Tuesday 19th Nov).
Preferred Communication
Compass was the preferred method followed very closely by Class WhatsApp groups.
Working Bees
Over half of respondents indicated they would attend and another 30% indicated maybe.
Outcome: We will continue to schedule one Working Bee a term and see how attendance goes.
Mother’s and Father’s Day Celebrations
We asked what people’s preferences were regarding the current offering (Stall in the Hall). It was quite a mixed response but many reported that the items were not overly useful or environmentally friendly & that they would prefer something locally made or made by their kids.
Outcome: we will discontinue the stall in 2025 and trial a new option funded and run by the PFA. More info to come.
School Fete
Whilst the majority of respondents indicated that they would love a fete, unfortunately a very small amount said that they could contribute to project managing a fete.
Outcome: We will park the idea of a fete in 2025 and see if an interested party comes forward as the PFA community grows.
Community Events
There was agreement that more community based events needed at ENPS e.g. fete and the feedback has been passed on to school leadership.
Fun Student Activities
The Disco and a Colour Fun Run topped the list of requested student activities
Outcome: we will aim to run these in 2025
Parent Social Events
Trivia, Lawn Bowls and family camping weekend were popular.
Outcome: we will aim to run these in 2025
Special Lunches
The feedback was very positive on the two special lunches we ran this year.
Outcome: we will continue to run these in 2025 with healthy options and canteen for a day again.
Fundraising
Most people agreed that putting the money we raise back into the school is a good idea and to also give the students a say.
Outcome: we will continue to fund projects of this nature and allow the JSC to drive some projects. In 2025 we will cover the cost of the Mothers/Fathers Day stall.
PFA Membership and Community Spirit
We received a largely positive response.Families were content with the program on offer and the cost of activities.
Outcome: we will take on board feedback and continue to rebuild the PFA group and ENPS community.
