End of Year School Leadership:

As I will be on Long Service Leave from the 9th December (for Christmas in Italy), I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of our families a great holiday break and thank you for your continued support throughout 2024. Whilst I am on leave, Leading Teacher Amie Parker will be Acting Principal. I will be back for the start of 2025.

White Ribbon Day:

Our Grade 5/6 students had the opportunity to take part in a Cardinia Safer Communities workshop focused on Family Violence and as part of this project they designed slogans to raise awareness and painted these on to t-shirts. You would have seen the display on the front fences of the school. I have included some photos of the students designs in the newsletter. It was a great way to raise awareness and develop understanding around this issue.

SunSmart Policy:

We have recently updated our school SunSmart policy, which will be sent out on compass next week. Our policy encourages students to apply sunscreen before leaving home and then have sunscreen in their bags for reapplication during the day. The school has some sunscreen available for students who have not been provided with sunscreen from home, however if your child has allergies I would encourage you to ensure they have their own sunscreen and know not to use the one available at the school. Please make yourself and your child familiar with the policy and the importance of being SunSmart. We encourage our staff and parents to role model SunSmart behaviour to our students.

Thankyou:

A huge thank you to Ricky from R & R Maintenance for the amazing job laying the grass around our new table and chairs. It looks absolutely fantastic!
