Performing Arts News

For families who may have missed the Audiri notification, the 2025 Whole School Production will be Disney’s Frozen JR. Further information for Year Five and Six students who wish to audition for main speaking/singing roles will be communicated early in 2025. In the meantime, please save the date for our magical performances, starring all of the St Brendan’s students at The Frankston Arts Centre on Monday, September 15th, 2025.

Choir News

Much anticipation is building as the choir prepares to sing at some special events as the Advent Season approaches. Although I, and a few members, have taken a short break from rehearsals in recent times, I warmly invite all choir members to attend choir rehearsals each Wednesday at lunchtime in the Music-Performing Arts Classroom.

A minimum attendance requirement of five lunchtime rehearsals between Weeks 4 and 10, with the exception of absences from school due to illness or family reasons, will be expected in order for choir members to represent the choir during the:

  • Somerville Gardens Mass and Christmas Carols morning on Tuesday, December 10th.
  • End of Year Whole School Mass Choir on Thursday, December 5th.
  • Choir members have been invited to sing at the Year Six Graduation Mass, on Wednesday, December 11th.
  • Choir item for the end-of-year Carols performance on Friday, December 12.

Somerville Gardens Visit

An Operoo form has now been sent to all choir families for the Somerville Gardens visit, to be completed by Thursday, December 5th.

Year Six Graduation Mass Choir

An Operoo form for Choir members to sing in the choir for the Year Six Graduation Mass has also been sent to choir Families, to complete the Operoo form by Tuesday, December 3rd for children who can participate.

In the meantime, choir members are reminded to bring their beautiful selves and beautiful singing voices to rehearsals each Wednesday in the lead-up to this special time of the year.

Yours in faith & harmony.
