To Year 12,

As the final days of Term 3 fast approach, so too does the final days of some thirteen years of schooling for our Year 12s. Over these thirteen years they have developed their skills which will be tested in their upcoming High School Certificate examinations. Over these thirteen years they have had many different teachers, bringing their unique talents to the classroom and fostering a love of learning and broadening their understanding of the world around them.

It is a testament to public education that so many fine young people are about to sit their HSC and over the past two years they have been taught by expert teachers, learnt so much and provided with diverse perspectives and methods to achieve the same equitable outcomes.

Whether or not you go on to further study, just know that learning never stops; though the teacher may change and the lesson may be different to that of others, there is always something new to discover about yourself and the world around and it is this diversity that strengthens the collective.

To that end, we wish you well in your future endeavours class of 2025!

For our juniors, the journey continues and not without highlights:

Year 7 are demonstrating their creativity and reflective thinking with their assessment task; designing a double-page spread for a picture book.

Year 8 are participating in the time honoured tradition of myth making, designing a monster as a means of explaining natural phenomena.

Year 9 are appreciating the enduring legacy of great works of literature; the Bard himself and his works ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘Macbeth’ are enjoyable examples studied by Year 9.

Year 10 are fast approaching their time in senior school with the completion of their examinations.

Over the holidays, read and enjoy the sunshine!
