The College has been buzzing with activity, with events that brought students, families, and staff together. From the creativity of Discovery Day, to the focus of Year 7 PAT Testing, and the connections made during Year 7 2027 Interviews, each occasion showcased the energy and spirit of our community.
Sixty-three primary students and seven teachers from St Lawrence Primary School enjoyed a day experiencing life in our secondary school setting. Students loved hands-on learning in Science, Food Technology, and Woodwork, with fun science experiments, scrap wood sculptures, and delicious chocolate balls. Students also relaxed in the Resource Centre with muffins, colouring activities, and books.
A special thank you to our College representatives, who warmly welcomed visitors and helped make the day enjoyable and memorable.
On Saturday, 13 September, Grade 6 students from 51 primary schools arrived for Progressive Achievement Testing (PAT) in reading and numeracy. Equipped with their digital devices, students completed assessments in the Language and Resource Centre.
At the completion of the testing students had the opportunity to explore the Year 7 classrooms and breakout spaces, and enjoyed courtyard games with teachers and College representatives. The activities provided a great chance to connect, and our College representatives were outstanding in ensuring everyone felt included. Special thanks to Livina Jason, Labeeqa Ikram, Kamakshi Kansal, Kritika Kansal, Olivia Monteleone and Eva Mehmet for their support on the day.
The Year 7 2027 interviews were held on Monday, 1 September, and Monday, 15 September, in the Louise Cleary Building. These conversations offered a valuable opportunity to meet prospective students and families, learning about their interests, passions, and hopes for the future. Offer letters for Year 7 2027 will go out on Friday, 17 September. With limited places available, families yet to apply are encouraged to do so.
We celebrate the enthusiasm and community spirit shown at each of these events. From discovery and assessment to interviews and family engagement, our College continues to thrive as a vibrant place of learning and connection.
