5/6 Volleyball

Our Year 5/6 students recently represented the school at the district volleyball day, and what an incredible day it was! We had four teams competing – Year 5 Boys, Year 5 Girls, Year 6 Boys and Year 6 Girls – and all teams went through the round robin stage undefeated.
The Year 5 Boys and Year 5 Girls teams were crowned overall winners at the conclusion of the round robin, showing amazing teamwork, skill and encouragement for one another.
The Year 6 Girls played some outstanding volleyball, making it through to the semi-final where they were just edged out in a close contest. The Year 6 Boys had a brilliant run, going all the way to the grand final and taking the win – securing their spot at the next stage in Horsham on Wednesday 29th October.
Throughout the day, our students embodied our school values, showing respect to their opponents and umpires, encouraging each other, and displaying fantastic sportsmanship. The skill level, teamwork and spirit of inclusion on display was something to be truly proud of. A huge thank you to Mr Richardson, Zoe, and the Warrnambool Pirates for officiating and supporting the day – we couldn’t have done it without you!
