Wellbeing and Inclusion

Wellbeing

It has been a very busy and exciting term in Wellbeing! Staff took part in Berry Street Day 2 training, while students in Years 3–6 have been engaging in wellbeing classes with Cass. Across the school, Welcome Circles have been introduced to strengthen connections and belonging. We were also thrilled to launch the Walking School Bus, helping students start the day with movement and community.

Our Wellbeing team has been actively supporting families with many Student Support Group meetings, and we were recently filmed by the Department of Education to showcase the MHiPS role in schools. Year 6 girls have enjoyed participating in Girlosophy sessions, and communication with families has been strengthened through Class Dojo. In addition, students accessed the Dental Van service, and our Food Bank continues to provide valuable support to families.

Berry Street Education Model to Lucas Primary School Staff

Thank you for having us today! It was a privilege to spend time with your team, sharing and learning together through the Berry Street Education Model. We love seeing your commitment to supporting student engagement, learning and wellbeing!

The holidays are a wonderful time to pause, recharge and focus on wellbeing. We encourage families to enjoy time together, rest and do the things that bring joy and balance. Looking ahead to Term 4, we are excited to continue building on our wellbeing initiatives and supporting every student to feel connected, confident and ready to learn.
