Principal's Update

Hi Everyone,

It's hard to believe that we are 3/4 of the way through the year! We have had some amazing learning opportunities this term for our students such as our School Production, Athletics, Writing Celebration, Book Week, excursions and 3/4 camp just to name a few. The varied skills that students learn and develop with each of these activities has been seen with academic, social and emotional growth in our students. We are very proud of their achievements and can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings.

School Production

Thank you to all our families who attended the production last night. It was wonderful to see so many of our Prep to Year 4 students up on stage singing and dancing! They certainly set the bar high for future performances. Our Grade 5/6 students went on the do a fantastic job with their production of Rock Bottom! Their hard work, talent, and confidence on stage shone through, and the performances were a wonderful celebration of their creativity. A huge thank you also goes to all staff involved for the many hours of planning, rehearsing, and preparing that made this production such a success. We are very proud of our students and grateful for the teamwork that brought the show to life.

Term 4 Start

I would like to remind parents that Monday 6th October is a Student Free Day for staff professional development, and students will commence Term 4 on Tuesday 7th October.

SunSmart Policy

As per our SunSmart Policy, all students must wear a hat during break times and sport throughout Term 4. All students are asked to remember to bring their hats. If you require a new hat they are available for purchase at WorkLocker.

Uniform Update

At Cobram Primary School, we want our students to feel comfortable, confident, and proud to wear their school uniform. As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our students and families, we have been reviewing our current uniform. I am very pleased to be able to announce that our uniform change for 2026 has been approved by school council, and I can give you a sneak peek of our new polo shirt!

The decision to update our uniform was not taken lightly and staff and school council have worked hard to review and source uniforms that are both affordable and durable. We have taken many things into account, including:

Comfort and practicality – ensuring our uniform suits our climate, is easy to move in, and supports both learning and play.

Affordability and access – making sure items are reasonably priced and easy for families to purchase.

Inclusivity – offering options that support all students, including different body types, genders, and cultural or religious needs.

School identity and pride – updating designs and colours to reflect our values and help students feel proud to represent their school.

Wellbeing and safety – ensuring uniforms support sun safety, visibility on excursions, and overall student confidence.

We are still confirming each of the pants, shorts, skorts and dresses, but can tell you that the pants, shorts, skorts and hats will be navy blue.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holidays!
