Sports Uniform Change for Week Eight 

Please note that sports lessons for next Monday will be changed to Wednesday (10th Sept) for next week only. Students may like to change the day that they wear their sports uniform or wear it an additional day. 

Emergency Lockdown Drill 

This week all students and staff were involved in an emergency lockdown drill. These drills form part of our mandatory requirements for Workplace Health and Safety at Holy Family. 

As part of our procedures the school was alerted that we would be having a lockdown, teachers closed and locked doors and the site was secured. We explained to the students in child friendly language why these drills are necessary i.e. stray animals on site or a hazardous spill on the highway. Our students were outstanding in their behaviour during this drill. 

Thank you Mercy College- Maths Packs 

Thanks to the volunteer program at Mercy College our students and the generosity of the P and F students at Holy Family will now have access to individual Mathematics Packs that will assist them during Maths lessons, warm ups and fluency tasks. 

Most packs contain - 

dice

counters

laminated resources such as times tables and place value charts 

whiteboard pens

measurement equipment 

No Hat No Play Rule 

At Holy Family we require all students K-6 to wear a hat for all outdoor activities. Please be advised that all students will need a labelled hat and that students without a hat will be asked to sit/play quietly in the shade in the under-croft area. They will also be unable to participate in outdoor sports lessons. Thank you for your support in this matter.
