Year 10 Incursion: Interviews and Techniques

Year 10 students participated in an engaging incursion at school featuring a guest speaker who shared valuable insights into job interviews and effective communication techniques. With a focus on building confidence, making strong first impressions and mastering common interview questions, the session offered students practical tools to prepare for future employment opportunities. The speaker also highlighted the importance of body language, active listening and tailoring responses to different roles and industries. Students walked away with a clearer understanding of how to present themselves professionally and the confidence to tackle real-world scenarios beyond the classroom.

Year 10 Subject Selections

Year 10 students made their subject selections this term as they prepare for their senior years and the Higher School Certificate (HSC). Students were encouraged to pursue subjects that align with their interests, strengths and career aspirations while taking into consideration practical components such as workload. Year 12 University Early Entry Offers

Year 12 students have received early offers for courses from various universities such as UNSW and Macquarie University. They should be commended on this achievement. In the lead-up to the HSC examinations, several universities and institutions are offering free webinars to help Year 12 students prepare and all are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities to maximise their HSC results. Building AI Agents & Careers Panel

On August 22, students from Years 7 to 12, including members of the STEM Club, Commerce, Multimedia, Business Studies, and aspiring engineering students participated in an A.I. incursion focused on building AI agents and exploring career pathways in artificial intelligence. During the hands-on session, they created their own AI agents on laptops, gaining practical experience with cutting-edge technology.

Following the workshop, students attended a careers panel where experts shared insights into the diverse and rapidly evolving opportunities available in the A.I. industry. This event provided valuable guidance and inspiration for those considering future careers in technology and innovation.
