Opera Queensland

In the final week of Term 3, our musical company continued rehearsals under the guidance of director Kristen Barros, joined by guest artist Jason Barry-Smith from Opera Queensland. Students refined their vocal technique, strengthened ensemble staging, and developed characterisation an inspiring way to close the term.

Looking ahead, rehearsals in Term 4 will continue on Tuesday afternoons, Friday afternoons, and Friday lunchtimes. A full rehearsal schedule has been emailed to parents and students to assist with planning.

Dance Troupe

Our Dance Troupe will resume from Week 2 of Term 4, with rehearsals on Mondays from 7:00am to 8:00am.

Congratulations to the troupe members who gave a wonderful performance at Opus 4, they will now continue preparing for the College Musical and our annual Christmas Carols.

A special mention also goes to our Irish Dancers, who performed beautifully at Opus 4. Our 'fun class' will continue in Term 4 on Wednesday afternoons, 3:15pm to 4:00pm, from Week 1, providing students with a joyful opportunity to further develop their skills.

Opus 4

Congratulations to our musicians for their exceptional performances at Opus 4 last Thursday evening. It was a pleasure to present music from our choral, string, and band ensembles, and to enjoy a spirited performance by the Irish Dancers and Dance Troupe members.

We thank all the staff and volunteers who assisted on the night, and our ensemble leaders for compering the evening and assisting behind the scenes.

Secondary Music Dinner

Tickets are now available for this year’s Secondary Music Dinner, to be held on Friday 17 October. Please note the venue has changed this year to Nudgee Golf Club, 1207 Nudgee Rd.
